I also have a special interest working with GLBT clients.
Behavioral Science Background.
I treat clients using a bio-psycho-social model of healing. For years I have practiced psychotherapy in medical settings and for five years worked as the Behavioral Scientist training Family Practice residents. Due to my extensive background I am a skilled behavioral health provider. This uniquely prepares me to understand how to improve health outcomes by collaborating and coordinating with primary and other medical providers. Clients are often frightened by their medical problems and they require a high level of culturally appropriate assistance to understand the interrelationship of mental and physical health.
Knowledge of Additional Therapy Techniques
In addition to assessment and emergency psychotherapy I offer cognitive behavioral outcome based psychotherapy I am a trained DBT, EMDR and Anger Management therapist and I have a special interest in using forgiveness in therapy after becoming a Certified Forgiveness trainer.
